Peugeot has released a service box for the "SEDRE" diagnostic system. The new service box provides faster and more accurate readings than previous versions and works with all SEDRE versions. There are three major benefits to the new service box: What Does It Do? The new Peugeot service box can identify engine errors (especially EGR) and assist in troubleshooting ABS/TCS systems. It can also diagnose newer transmissions like the ZF 6HP24 and 5HP20. Where Can I Get One? You can get a Peugeot service box from your Peugeot dealer or directly from WSW (see below). While it is possible to use the old SEDRE system without a service box, it will take much longer to diagnose trouble codes and perform tests. "How To": If you choose to purchase a service box from your dealer, be sure to ask for one that is compatible with your SEDRE 2013-11 system. If you have the old SEDRE system, there will be no difference between an original and a factory-based service box. Same goes for the newer ZF6HP24 and 5HP20 systems – if you have a combined service box for these systems, there will be no difference between one built by Peugeot and one built by WSW.
